The topping -out ceremony for the brand new neighborhood center was recently celebrated in the picturesque city of Görlitz. District Administrator Dr. Stephan Meyer confessed his gratitude for the smooth construction phase and symbolically led the solemn nail into the future heart of the community. The new building extends over two floors, which are divided into a north and south part and decorate with a green roof crown. In addition to a modern data center, a spacious underground car park will also be created, which offers space for 190 vehicles.
The planning sketch also provides for connecting buildings that interweave the new center with the existing historical buildings. Two lifts and solar areas complete the architectural concept. A total of 180 jobs and new premises for the citizens' office are created in the extension building, which are intended to further strengthen the vitality of the neighborhood.
The residents of Görlitz can look forward to a modern and integrative center that is not only functional, but also strengthens the sense of community. The entry into the neighborhood center is expected to take place in the summer of 2025, even if the last subtleties are completed.
