Polish BMW driver stopped with illegal weapons: Federal Police Inspection Ludwigsdorf acts

Important discovery in the entry control in Görlitz

Today, Federal Realing Police managed to stop a Polish BMW that was driven by an 18-year-old Poland over the Görlitz city bridge. However, this routine entry control quickly became an important discovery.

While the officers first checked the driver's ID documents, their view of a shoulder bag fell in which a telescopic stroke was located. This find took a closer look at the officials and in the glove compartment of the car they discovered a compressed air gun with a filled magazine and suitable steel balls.

The young man was checked immediately and the objects, both the truncheon and the weapon with ammunition, were confiscated. It is now being checked whether the owner has to expect a fine for the truncheon and possibly even further violations of the weapons law.

This discovery underlines the importance of the entry controls and shows how crucial it is to be attentive and to recognize suspicious objects. The federal police are constantly working on ensuring security in the border area and recognizing crimes early on.
