This time he was faced with a special challenge: the creation of a scale model of a barack segment. His artistry and attention to detail are clearly visible in this miniature model, which is now part of the exhibition "Wooden buildings to all countries" in the Konrad-Wachsmann-Haus in Niesky.

barracks for the Prussian military

The model that Roland Vörös created is a segment of a barrack that was produced by the Christoph & Unmack company at the turn of the century at the turn of the century. This special construction, a mixture of a barrack and a tent, served as accommodation for the Prussian military in the imperial-German lease area in Kiautschou. The detail of the miniature model gives visitors an insight into the construction and use of these historical structures.

The exhibition in the Wachsmannhaus is also dedicated to Johann Pech, the carpenter and construction manager at C&U, who was responsible for the construction of such wooden barracks. Roland Vörös's miniature model represents a homage to the manual tradition of this time and conveys an authentic picture of the past construction techniques.

wood art at the highest level

In addition to his talent in the work of historical miniatures, Roland Vörös has also demonstrated his manual championship in other projects. He is particularly proud of the design of the library in the Görlitz synagogue, where his creative woodwork can be admired. For customers, he prefers the traditional model construction compared to digital visualizations, since he can offer its customers a haptic and tangible idea of their project.

The Catholic parish in Niesky has already shown interest in a miniature version of its wooden church on a scale of 1:10, which Roland Vörös will also bring to life with his manual skills. This miniature should take a special place on solemn occasions or moves and present the artisan art of the carpenter.
