Farewell to old coffee: Max Remmert about the last sounds in Kassel!

Kassel, Deutschland - Last Saturday, the band "Old Coffee" celebrated its last appearance in Kassel before taking their farewell on November 1st and 2nd with two final concerts in Göttingen. Max Frederic Remmert, the group's singer, looks back on a journey that started in 2014 as a "nonsense band". Despite a surprisingly great response, Remmert decided to give preference to his career in school research. "I noticed in the Corona era that my work is more fun than the music," he explains.

The changes in the band not only gave individual ways to continue, but also the wish of the other members to continue as a full -time musician. For Remmert, who for years got around the music well, the separation will mean the loss of time together with friends and the live game on stage. "In a room with 100 to 200 people, all worries in the world are forgotten for an hour," he describes the magic of the performances. Does he turn his back on the music? Rather not, because Remmert remains active- as a piano and vocal replacement at the comedy collective Luksan Wunder and as a moderator at the open stage in the slaughterhouse.
