Solemn confirmation in Göttingen: 45 young people say yes! to faith

On Friday, October 4, 2024, the first company service took place in the St. Paulus Church in Göttingen in the Göttingen dean's office. Auxiliary Bishop Heinz-Günter Bongartz, together with Dean Wigbert Schwarze and Deacon Martin Wirth, gave 45 young people the sacrament after they had previously prepared for confirmation across the city. In a solemn atmosphere, Bongartz emphasized the uniqueness of each individual in his sermon and encouraged the young people to explore and develop their gifts and skills.

This service was the first of two planned celebrations; The next will take place on Friday, October 18, at 6 p.m. in the same church. There, other young people have the opportunity to "yes!"
