On Saturday afternoon, October 26, 2024, there was a dramatic car fire in Göttingen, in the Roringen district. A 22-year-old driver from Soltau was on the road on the street on the Menzelberg with his Ford when flames suddenly opened out of the engine compartment. The cause? A technical defect that made the vehicle go entirely in flames.

The driver was very lucky - he was able to save himself from the burning car unharmed. The Roringen local fire brigade was quickly on hand and was able to extinguish the fire before it attacked the surrounding areas.
