In the small island city of Malchow, an interactive exhibition is currently impressive with the meaningful motto "Parole: beat sparks!" Visitors aged eight and eight are invited to explore the unique show in the city church, which takes up the topic of "courage - yesterday and today". Until August 31, interested parties can get a deep insight into living conditions during the GDR period and the turn. The exhibition, which was already guest in different cities, tells the moving stories of courage and resistance using interview films, original objects and images.
A special project of children for children
The fascinating history of the exhibition testifies to lived commitment: children between the ages of seven and eleven have played a major role in the design. Under the direction of Uta Rinklebe, the director of the Machmit! Museums for children, the young exhibition makers conducted interviews with contemporary witnesses to capture and pass on their experiences.
The information collected flowed directly into the exhibition. At ten interactive stations, visitors have the opportunity not only to experience, but also to experience what courage and resistance mean. This unique exhibition invites you to actively reflect and understand the past.

Free visit to everyone interested
The exhibition in the city church of Malchow is accessible free of charge. Visitors are welcome from Monday to Friday from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Groups and school classes have the opportunity to visit the exhibition outside the regular opening times after prior registration.
