Miriam Cahn shines with a new work - award ceremony without her!
Goslar, Deutschland - The city of Goslar symbolically gave the coveted imperial ring to the artist Miriam Cahn, even though she stayed away from the award ceremony. In a remarkable gesture, Cahn created a new work of art - a sculpture of a left arm - which she donated to the Museum Museum together with the Kaiserring. The work of art, to whose ring fingers the Kaiserring is attached, will in future be shown in the museum, where other works by Cahn will also be presented.
Miriam Cahn, which is known for her expressive drawings, often addresses the injustices and dramas that people experience, be it political or personal in nature. Her works, which have already been exhibited in international cities such as Venice and Tokyo, deal with the vulnerability of the body and current topics such as refugee crises. The Kaiserring, awarded since 1975, is considered one of the most important prices for modern art in Germany and was previously awarded to prominent artists such as Joseph Beuys and Christo. www.abendblatt.de .
