Gotha experiences: VR project explains depression up close on November 14th!

Gotha, Deutschland - The social psychiatric service of the Gotha district office brings an innovative virtual reality experience to the city: "Impression Depression", developed by the Robert-Enke Foundation, is offered on November 14th. This immersive experience gives healthy participants the opportunity to experience the symptoms of depression up close. By using VR glasses, the world of thoughts and experience are made tangible by those affected. The event takes place in the multi -generation house on the Gotha main market and is intended to promote understanding of people with mental illnesses.

Julia Shehad, head of the social psychiatric service, emphasizes the importance of sensitization: "Often it is not only a lack of understanding, but also trust for sick people." Participation is limited to 60 interested parties who have to register by phone or email in advance, spontaneous visits are not possible. This special project is supported by the Robert Enke Foundation and promises to be both informative and urgent. For more information, see the current reporting on Gotha -aktuell.info .
