Great progress for Emleben: New logistics park starts!

In Gotha-Emleben, an important step for a new logistics project was taken today: the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony for a sustainable logistics property, which is realized by OFB Projektentwicklung GmbH. The construction, which is to be completed from September 2025, is fully rented to Nagel-Group Logistics SE and includes a gross floor of around 21,000 m² on a property over 35,000 m². With a hall height of over 12 meters, 18 overload bridges and an innovative cooling system, the new facility should offer the highest logistical efficiency.

The sustainable orientation of the project should be emphasized: A DGNB gold certification and the use of air-water heat pumps and a photovoltaic system that saves around 870 tons of CO2 annually is planned. "Sustainable logistics properties are essential for Germany's economic growth," explains Ralph Holeeschovsky from OFB. This development will not only improve the logistical infrastructure of the region, but will also create new jobs, as Mayor Philipp Kalisch emphasizes.
