Zoe (13) and Mia (14), who got to know each other in the tent camp, are enthusiastic about their experiences: "We are in nature, get to know new friends and have enough space."

The diverse activities include carving characters from wood and excursions into the area in addition to cooking. A central aspect of the camp is to avoid cell phones. Youth social worker Madlen Bauer explains: "Cell phones are not so desirable, because if there are questions or problems, young people should rather clarify this in the camp and not with their parents." The tent camp is very popular, which also shows the high number of registrations. "The tent camps are best accepted by the holiday offers," says Bauer. There are often more interested parties than available places. Another tent camp took place at the beginning of the summer holidays in Pferdingsleben, in which a total of 60 participants experienced adventures together.
