Creative variety in the Emsland: TPZ Lingen starts a new course program!

The theater pedagogical center (TPZ) Lingen has presented a new half -year program that comprises a large number of offers for participants in all ages. The courses are aimed at people from 4 to over 80 years and take place in the districts of Emsland and Grafschaft Bentheim at various locations, including Lingen, Meppen, Freren, Thuine, Schüttorf and Nordhorn. The new office of the TPZ is located in the "Alte Weberlierei" in Nordhorn.

As part of the program, both traditional courses and innovative new offers are offered. This year's innovations include a break dance course as well as the "Tanzcompany Kids" and a mindful dance room with the title "Danceflow". In addition, a project week is organized during the Easter holidays under the topic "Schrecklings, Langbein Beetle and Wings - the workshop of the Utopian insects", which begins from March 28, 2025. Materials such as paper, cardboard, foils and packaging materials are available to the participants to create their insect system, which are presented at the 16th World Kindertheater Festival in June.

World Kindertheater Festival in Lingen

The 16th World Kindertheater Festival takes place from June 27 to July 4, 2025 in Lingen, under the motto "It's About Us!". Hundreds of children from all over the world will take part in this event, which includes a rich program of theater performances, workshops as well as intercultural encounters and games. A specialist symposium is also held to discuss the productions. The festival is organized by the TPZ Lingen in cooperation with the city of Lingen (EMS) and the Institute for Theater Pedagogy at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and the European Theaterhaus e.V.

children's groups with theater, dance and movement productions from all over the world can apply for the festival, whereby the selection is made by an international jury that meets in November 2024. The organizers are also looking for host families in Lingen to accommodate the children and volunteers who want to support the implementation of the festival.
