Eldenaer Jazz Evenings 2024: International stars and newcomers inspire the audience

For many decades, the Eldena Jazz Festival in Greifswald has attracted jazz lovers from near and far. The event takes place in the impressive walls of the Eldena monastery ruin and on this first weekend in July offers a spectacular program with international music sizes and aspiring talents.

On Friday evening, the renowned pianist and composer Sebastian Gahler opens the Eldena jazz evenings with his project "Two Moon's Quartet". The duo Nils Wobram & Joe Sachse as well as the electro -acoustic live band Norlyz will also be on stage.

A highlight of the festival will be the appearance of the NDR Big band, which together with the Italian musician Luigi Grasso presents a unique program on Saturday. Grasso has created a program exclusively for the band that will enchant the audience. "We strive to offer something for every taste every year. We have very different formations, especially on Friday," says Tobias Reppin from the City of Greifswald.

tickets are available at the box office: A two-day festival pass costs 54 euros, day tickets are available for 36 euros (reduced 26 euros).
