Greifswald loses laundry business: New post center will soon open!

In the Greifswald district of Eldena, another post office closes its doors: Monika Müller ends her laundry business on Tallinner Strasse on October 29. After 34 years of independence, the 59-year-old retires and leaves her loyal customers with mixed feelings. "I always enjoyed the work," said Müller, who has also offered services for Deutsche Post since 2006.

But the good news quickly follows: From November 1st, a new posting offer will open in the nearby Baltic Sea district shopping center. Heidrun Scupin, who has had similar services for Hermes, GLS and DPD for over a decade, will take on the role of the new post office. "Deutsche Post pays better," says Scupin, who will accept and issue packages under her budgetary business in the future. Despite the closure of the old branch, Deutsche Post is satisfied to have found a replacement. However, further branches are not planned in the region, since there is already a sufficient offer, reports www.ostsee-zeitung.de .
