Greifswald's dance talents shine at World Championships in Mühlheim!
The Discodance team of the Greifswald Baltic Sea dance showed impressive performances at the World Championships in Mühlheim an der Ruhr. After successful participation in the German Masters in September, the Greifswald dancers competed in the Disco Dance and Disco Slow competitions. In a field of hundreds of dancers from 19 nations, the six athletes achieved remarkable results.
Cara Leonhardt and Emilia Margarete Seidlein, the reigning national champions north, took 11th place among 57 participants in the disco dance of "Juniors 2". Luna-Marie Wolframm and Mara Sophie Schnuchel reached 38th place in the children's age group. Emilia, who competed as vice-national champion, finished 62th of 82 in solo, while Cara reached 206 dancers in the disco slow. Malin Baldauf and 10-year-old Heidi Bliewert also performed well, with placements in the middle field. Coach Andreas Wolframm emphasized that the Greifswald women were the only group of participants from the northeast. Further information can be found at www.ndr.de .
