Innovative teaching project: Students take responsibility at school am Bodden

Temporary teacher: Practical learning for Greifswald students

The teaching students at the University of Greifswald have the unique opportunity to take over the regional school "Am Bodden" in Neuenkirchen from July 16 to 1824. Under the motto "Practice instead of theory", the future teachers through the "Do School 2024" project should gain valuable insights into everyday school life and further develop their pedagogical skills.

During this project, the students have the opportunity to practically test innovative teaching methods such as researching learning, learning offices and learning maps from the second semester. The use of artificial intelligence in the field of education is also on the curriculum.

The special thing about this project is that students come together from various disciplines to learn from each other and to develop and implement new pedagogical concepts together. In addition, specialist didactics are involved in the University of Greifswald to test new teaching methods and to promote interdisciplinary exchange.

Participation in “School in 2024” enables students not only the intensive exchange between theory and practice, but also the promotion of creative and self -directed learning processes. Felix-Paul Schulz, teacher for history and English and project coordinator on the part of the school, emphasizes the importance of the project for the further development of the students.

"Make School in 2024" offers a unique opportunity for prospective teachers to actively commit themselves to work in school and gain valuable experience. This project not only strengthens the bond between theory and practice, but also helps to optimally prepare the future generations of teachers. ”

The success of “Doing School in 2024” is reflected in the eighth successful implementation of the project. Greifswald students have the chance to take on a complete school with all classes for several days and to improve their practical skills.
