In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, seven schools caused excitement on Monday when they were confronted with bomb threats by email. The threats that all came from the same sender were sent to schools in Rostock, Stralsund, Schwerin and Ludwigslust. The school management immediately informed the police, who immediately initiated security measures. A school in Ludwigslust even had to be evacuated as a precaution. Fortunately, the all -clear was quickly given after intensive security checks, and the lessons were resumed.

State Minister of the Interior Christian Pegel condemned the threats as "disgusting" and promised that the police would consistently act against the perpetrators. He emphasized that despite the similar formulations in the threatening letters, each danger situation had to be assessed individually.
