Safe B105: Construction work should prevent accidents on Stralsund!
In the district of Vorpommern-Rügen, the B105, an important traffic artery between Greifswald and Rostock, is currently being rebuilt to reduce the risk of accidents. New visual relationships are created at the intersection junction at Stralsund. The original intersection, which lies behind a crest and was therefore difficult to see, is moved to the east about 150 meters. In addition, a new left turn on the B105 is being built to further increase security. Large excavators and construction machinery have been in use since mid -August to implement the changes.
diversions are already planned and the access to Pütter Straße is closed during the construction work. So that the work can run smoothly, traffic is temporarily regulated with traffic lights. Construction costs amount to around 1.7 million euros, which are borne by the Federal Republic of Germany. All of this aims to significantly improve security for drivers and pedestrians and to reduce the number of accidents on this highly frequented route.
