Vorpommern-Rügen: E-mail services after cyber attack active again!

After a devastating cyber attack in November 2023, the citizens of the Vorpommern-Rügen district can finally breathe a sigh of relief! The administration has restored its email services and can now be reached via the usual addresses. District Administrator Stefan Kerth describes this step as significant progress in the normalization of the administrative processes.

However, there is a drop of bitterness: The re -establishment does not affect the job center as well as the district college and music school, which will initially remain available via alternative communication channels. While the specialist services are gradually returning to their routine processes, the question remains how certainly the IT infrastructure really is.
