Junior gamers: Greifswald's computer game school rocks the Tommi Prize!

In the computer game school in Greifswald, young players are given the opportunity to play their favorite games like Fortnite under supervision. "This is one of our most popular games," explains Sebastian Schmidt, project coordinator of the facility. Up to 30 children can play on consoles and PCs in the city library at the same time, with the season limited to a maximum of 90 minutes per stay. This concept is intended to help the children develop a better sense of their media consumption and to recognize the risks such as in-app purchases.

It will be particularly exciting from Friday when the computer game school together with the city library organizes the German children's software award Tommi. For a week, 8 to 16 year olds can try and evaluate new games. Interested parties simply register with their parents and can then bring their impressions like the Sims, Zelda and Hogwarts Legacy. The event not only promotes the media literacy of the children, but also offers you the opportunity to discover the variety of the game world and actively participate.
