Greizer Talent Stella Kratochwill secures gold at Bowhunter championships!
The 16-year-old Stella Kratochwill from Greiz has impressively won gold at the German Bowhunter championships in 3D shooting in the Hunsrück. A total of 380 athletes from different age groups competed in the title fights that took place on the first weekend in October. Stella, the only representative of Thuringia, prevailed against the competitor Sarah Klein from the Schützengilde Hinzweiler-Königsberg and impressed with a result of 953 points. Her climbing performance was far above that of the runner-up, who only collected 552 points. She had managed to successfully defend the title won last year, despite the challenging conditions in the stony competition area, which cost many arrows.
her father, Stefan Kratochwill, took a respectable 22nd place among 41 participants in the men's category with 903 points. He is satisfied and is aiming for a top 20 placement for the coming season. With the end of the open -air season, the focus is now on the indoor competitions, starting with the traditional "to the Gold Tournament" in the Saxon Freital, where nine starters of BSV Paitzdorf have registered. The next highlight is the Thuringian state championships in January and the German Championships in March. More information is www.otz.de to be found.
