Greizer landlady inspires with 7000 euro donation for children with cancer
In a moving campaign, the parents' initiative for children with cancer Jena received a generous donation of 7,000 euros, which came together through a charity autumn of a landlady from Greiz, Lucie Eckert. "A donation at this height is a big surprise," said Katja Heinze, deputy managing director of the initiative, about the unexpected sum. Eckert, whose inn "Zur Wildsau" was organizing the event, learned from the initiative from a family who had even lived through difficult times in the Jena University Clinic.
The proceeds come from a mix of donation boxes and large donations, supported by numerous helpers who breathed life into the autumn market. The parents' initiative, which is dependent on donations, is planning further events to support the families with children with cancer during this difficult time. "We thank everyone who contributed to this great result," said Heinze, while the initiative continues to do their important service for affected families according to information from www.otz.de.
