Federal Police stops illegal puppy transport: four animals in need!
In a dramatic incident in Waidhaus, four inexperienced dog puppies were discovered during an illegal transport. On October 18, the federal police stopped a van that was traveling from Romania to Great Britain. There were two French bulldogs and two small spitz puppies on the loading area, which were only between six and eight weeks old and remained in a questionable condition without access to drinking water. The police found that the animals were not vaccinated and were therefore not allowed to be transported.
The four puppies were immediately handed over to the care of the Veterinary Office Neustadt an der Waldnaab, where they are currently being kept in quarantine until their lack of rabies vaccination. The carrier, a 36-year-old Romanian, said that he wanted to bring the puppies to interested parties in Germany. For him and the potential buyers, there could now be serious fine procedures, while the investigation is still ongoing. Report on www.merkur.de .
