In the early morning hours on Friday, a 37-year-old man in Hagen and his Skoda Enyaq RS got into a serious accident, while he was very alcoholic behind the wheel. Around 3:30 a.m. the police were called to Eilper Straße, where they came across the badly damaged car and the driver. The latter claimed to be a deer, but this turned out to be a lie.

The investigation revealed that the man caused several accidents on a 6 km route. First he came off Delsterer Straße and crashed into a construction site barrier, then he lost control and collided with the guardrails. Despite the massive damage, he continued and finally damaged the tires until he came to a standstill on Eilper Strasse. An alcohol test resulted in a value of about 1.5 per thousand, whereupon the police retained his driver's license and removed a blood sample. For the owner of the new vehicle, the driver's father, it will be an unpleasant message, since the car may now be considered total damage.
