Carnacker in Wehringhausen: Police warn of nocturnal burglaries!

In the night from Monday to Tuesday, two vehicles were broken out by unknown perpetrators in Hagen-Wehrminghausen. In one case, the thieves hit the front passenger disc of a car in Paschestrasse and stole power tools worth around 300 euros. A van parked on Gutenbergstrasse was also targeted where the perpetrators stole a cordless screwdriver. The criminal police have started the investigation and is looking for witnesses to the deeds.

The police urgently warns of the risks, especially in the dark season, and gives vital tips for prevention. Valuvers should never be left visibly in the car, because even supposedly hidden things are often not certain. Vehicles do not offer protection like a safe, and especially at night all valuables should be removed from the car. Gloves and trees are not a safe hiding places, as thieves know where they have to search. Stay vigilant and protect your belongings!
