Murot and the shadow of the war: exciting crime scene in Hesse!
Wiesbaden, Deutschland - The new “crime scene” with the Hessian Commissioner Felix Murot promises dramatic entertainment! On Sunday evening, October 20, the Hessischer Rundfunk will show the gripping episode "Murot and the 1000-year-old Reich", in which Ulrich Tukur can be seen in a double role. While Murot and his assistant Magda Wächter are waiting for the captive war criminal Hagen von Strelow at Frankfurt Airport, the plot unfolds in 1944 during the Second World War.
In the role of Commissioner Friedrich Rother, Tukur investigates in a Hessian village after a British pilot was murdered. Together with the mysterious waitress Else Weiß, he reveals a network of betrayal and secrets. Director Matthias X. Oberg emphasizes that the film is not only a criminal case, but also about deeper questions about guilt, atonement and the effects of a dictatorship. The film was shot in the picturesque open -air museum Hessenpark, which gives the historical setting an authentic note. The reunion between Murot and von Strelow promises an exciting finale when the LKA investigator notices: "Buenos Días, Lord of Strelow, you can see again."
