Lisa Tertsch in Hamburg convinced as a strong second
The fourth race of the World Triathlon Championship series took place in Hamburg Last weekend, in which the audience pursued the athletes' performance. Lisa Tertsch successfully represented the German colors and landed on the podium. The Darmstadt resident, who already took second place at the series race in Cagliari in May, repeated this success at the Hamburg Wasser World Triathlon 2024. For men, Henry Graf achieved the best result for Germany with an impressive 15th place. A special highlight of the event was the appearance of the newcomer Henry Graf, who shone as the best German in the men's race. Graf showed an impressive performance and after only 8 weeks of intensive training and 4 training days a week achieved a remarkable 15th place. The 22-year-old athlete was visibly happy about his result and was happy about the support of his teammate Lasse Lasse Lührs, although he ended up in 28th place after 51:37 minutes. Jan Diener secured 30th place as the third fastest German.

Lisa Tertsch showed her strength again and secured second place at the Hamburg Water World Triathlon 2024. The 25-year-old athlete delighted the Hamburg audience with a gripping target sprint, which after 55:30 minutes just ahead of Beth Potter from Great Britain, Jeanne Lehair from Luxembourg and the overall leader of the Emma Lombardi series from France. Despite an impressive running, Tertsch had to give up the Frenchwoman Cassandre Beaubrand, who won the victory with a time of 55:19 minutes.
Annika Koch and Marlene Gomez-Göggel also performed strongly and landed under the top 10. While Koch took sixth place after her World Cup victory in Hungary, Gomez-Göggel secured tenth place.
The Hamburg Water World Triathlon 2024 was once again a brilliant event that impressively presented the outstanding achievements of the triathletes from all over the world. We are looking forward to more exciting competitions and look forward to the next challenges in triathlon sports!
