New residential project in Hamburg-Langenhorn: 700 apartments in Diekmoor!
In Hamburg-Langenhorn, 700 new apartments are to be built on a large allotment area, a project that mobilizes both supporters and critics. On Wednesday evening, the designs of an international competition were presented, in which the plan by Winking is happy about the first prize and 15,000 euros. According to senior building director Franz-Joseph Höing, the draft victory optimally meets the requirements of the framework planning and provides four- to eight-storey residential buildings with a high proportion of green.
While supporters like Michael Werner-Boelz from the Greens praise the project as an important step towards affordable living space, the initiative "saves the Diekmoor" sharp criticism. She warns of further re -concrete in times of climate change and die of species. The plans, which also include a new town square at Langenhorn Nord and a mobility hub underground station, are now available for a tour in an exhibition until October 18 in the Langenhorn district office.
