Christian Sellinger from Hemeringen noticed that the driver of the garbage truck exit when picking up, which slowed down the process. Problems with collection and solutions from Alba

Alba gives several reasons for the current problems in the collection: truck drivers have to get used to new routes, there is no shortage cadastre, and the streets were not sufficiently spread during the onset of winter. In addition, some residents bind the sacks to fences, which also makes collection more difficult. Another problem is the wrong filling of the sacks in which building rubble or residual waste is located.

To catch up, Alba has announced various measures. This includes, among other things, the increase in staff at the removal team, the introduction of an employee for tour control and the optimization of the storage locations for yellow sacks in coordination with cities and municipalities. In the future, residents who fill their sacks wrong will be informed with red stickers. Alba assumes that it will take several weeks for a normal state to be reached.

As part of waste disposal, Alba Niedersachsen-Anhalt GmbH recorded the collection of yellow recycling sacks in the Hameln-Pyrmont district on January 1, 2025.
