The unusual everyday life of a sauna master in Bad Pyrmont!

Laura Schabacker, 25 years old, is a sauna champion in the Hufelandtherme in Bad Pyrmont. She joined this role a year ago after visiting the thermal bath regularly. Her training as a sauna master, which is certified by the German Sauna Association, lasted two weeks and includes various theoretical and practical elements, such as first aid, sauna rules and dealing with essential oils.

An essential part of Laura Schabacker's work are the infusions in which it placed essential oils on ice balls and used on hot sauna stones to increase the fragrance intensity. With each infusion that is carried out three times within 15 minutes, the sauna masters select different fragrances, frond techniques and music content, with the fragrance and heat effect increasing with each infusion.

success and preparation for competitions

Laura Schabacker took part in the "Sauna Cup" in the Therme Erding, where she took sixth place. For this competition, she has developed fragrance choreography, special wagging techniques and a lighting concept. In addition, she has successfully qualified for the German Championships, which will take place in the Bahia-Therme in Bocholt in April. She receives support from her friend and the guests of the Hufelandtherme.

The meaning of essential oils in the sauna goes beyond simple fragrances. As reported on aromatic application pages, the infusions are central elements of a sauna search and promote sweating and health by increasing the humidity and warmth. Essential oils can have different therapeutic effects that range from strengthening the immune system to relaxation. Before using sauna oils, however, it is recommended to pay attention to natural ingredients in order to avoid possible irritation of the respiratory tract.
