Strong together: State Democracy Conference in Hamm - a sign of diversity!

State Secretary Gonca Türkeli-Rehnert opened the State Democracy Conference in Hamm, which is devoted to the motto "on the move-alliances for democracy" this year. This annual event, which has been taking place since 2020, focuses on strengthening civil society in North Rhine-Westphalia and its commitment to living together. At the conference, the focus is on current challenges in the context of democracy promotion and prevention work against right -wing extremism, racism and anti -Semitism.

The opening speech took place on October 9, 2024 at 10 a.m. in the Hamm Adult Education Center, in the Heinrich-von-Kleist-Forum. The conference was organized by the state coordination office against right -wing extremism and racism, which is subject to the Ministry of Culture and Science.
