Krampeharex in Hamm: New location tripled steel fiber production
The new production site of Krampharex in Hamm was recently inaugurated and promises extensive effects on the region and the steel fiber sector as a whole. While the construction work began in June 2023, the company is now ready to significantly increase its production capacities.
Expansion of the production capacity
The new system on Warendorfer Straße enables Krampharex to increase the annual production of steel fibers by up to 20,000 tons. With the aim of producing a total of 70,000 tons, the company will not only consolidate its market position within the industry. Managing partner Ulrich Krampe emphasizes that the company wants to be particularly active in the tunnel construction, which will be in demand in the future.
effects on the community
The investment in the new halls is not only a profit for the company itself, but also for the Bockum-Hövel region. According to Krampe, the expansion of production means "a good perspective" for the employees and the local economy for a long time. In the course of the new permanent establishment, 45 to 50 jobs are created, which could significantly improve the local labor market situation. Despite the high number of applications, it is emphasized that both skilled workers and inexperienced forces are sought.
technological innovations and sustainability
The newly built complex also includes two warehouses in addition to a production hall and uses modern technologies. The entire area is around 9,000 square meters, whereby the production hall is equipped with various machines, process the rolling wire into demanding tires. Another important aspect of the new system is the use of "green" energy. The roofs are equipped with solar panels that cover up to 15 percent of the electricity requirement, while the rest comes from sustainable sources.
international influence
Krampeharex currently supplies the construction of the largest railway tunnel in Romania with steel and plastic fibers. This project is funded by the EU and represents an important measure to expand the infrastructure. Krampe sees the future of its company primarily in the tunnel construction, which reflects a trend in urbanization. The focus on tunnel construction could prove to be strategically advantageous, since urban development increasingly increases the need for underground solutions.
conclusion: a positive step for the future
The opening of the new production facilities in Hamm marks a significant step for Krampharex and ensures that the company is well positioned in order to satisfy the needs of the market in the field of steel fibers. Due to the investment in technology and sustainability, Krampharex shows not only commitment to its own future, but also for those of the region and the global market.
