Truck chaos in Hamm: Fourth truck gets stuck under Wilhelmstrasse-Bridge

On Wednesday morning (July 10th) another incident occurred on the notorious railway bridge on Wilhelmstrasse in Hamm-West. A truck driver underestimated the height of the bridge and got stuck with his vehicle underneath, causing the roof of his trailer to tore up. Fortunately, nobody was injured.

This is the fourth incident within a few months at this point. In June, a truck driver already misjudged the height of the bridge, and at the beginning of the year there were even two accidents in the same week. The bridge seems to be a real "truck magnet" that always brings the driver into trouble.

The authorities again warn of the low passage height of the bridge and warning drivers for caution. It is discussed whether measures have to be taken to prevent future accidents and to improve security in the area of the bridge.
