New lighting for Weststraße in Hamm: a ray of hope in dark times
New lighting for Weststraße in Hamm: a ray of hope in dark times
new atmosphere for the pedestrian zone in Hamm
The Weststrasse in Hamm is immersed in a new light. The pedestrian zone should make permanent lighting a real eye -catcher. The planned lighting concept promises an atmosphere that invites you to linger and stroll.
Wilhelm A. Spindenreier, spokesman for the Weststrasse interest group, is full of zest for action. The idea is to shed light on Weststrasse regularly, in contrast to the temporary Christmas lights. The financial resources are already secured, the investment is estimated at around 25,000 euros.
Before the final breakthrough, however, some hurdles still have to be overcome. The fire brigade is currently checking fire protection to ensure that the lighting does not represent security risks. Likewise, owners have to be asked for permission in order to be able to install the lights.
The motivation behind the lighting project is to improve the quality of stay in Weststrasse. By using RGB colors with a gentle color change, a harmonious feel-good atmosphere is to be created. This should not only illuminate the dark winter months, but also increase the attractiveness of the pedestrian zone, which has so far been struggling with vacancies.
Similar lighting projects in the area have shown that well -thought -out lighting can have an invigorating effect. The light trees at Hamm main station are a popular photo motif and illuminate the Willy-Brandt-Platz in the winter months.
While the Weststrasse is heading for a bright future, Hamm is eagerly awaiting the start of construction of the B-Tween in the knight's passage, which is expected to take place in July. With these developments, the city center of Hamm continues to become more attractive and worth living.
