Hamm, Deutschland - The emergency room of the St. Barbara Clinic in Hamm moves to a modern new building on Monday, October 28th, as part of a comprehensive location modernization of 70 million euros. This is intended to ensure improved medical care in a central location. The new emergency room is supplemented by a joint counter with the emergency practice of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Health Insurance Health Infales Lippe (KVWL), which enables effective coordination of emergency care. Dr. med. Friederike Haermeyer, senior doctor of the emergency room, emphasizes that this structure already corresponds to the plans of the Federal Ministry of Health to reform emergency care.
important knowledge from Corona pandemic also included the planning. Special external inputs for infectious patients and covered access roads protect patients from weather conditions. In addition, the bed capacity was increased in the emergency room, which means that eight beds are now available in the observation station and four in the Chest Pain Unit (CPU). These extensions ensure that patients with acute symptoms can be treated faster and more efficiently. The central location of the observation station within the emergency room promotes continuous monitoring and an early response to changes in health.
