Police officer in action: thieves at autumn lights!
In a dramatic incident during the popular autumn light event in the Maximilian Park in Hamm, there was a trial of a brazen theft! On the evening of October 24th, an attentive police officer who was in his free time noticed three people who tried to steal two exhibition rabbits and a headlight. The fleeting thieves at the age of 23, 25 and 27 years of age already changed the alarm bells with their prey towards East Wennemarstrasse, as the experienced police officer, suspicious of their history.
Thanks to the quick response from the police, the three suspects could be stopped and checked at a bus stop in front of the park. During the subsequent investigations, it turned out that the thieves had not paid the exhibits. In the presence of the officials, the stolen rabbits and the headlights were brought back to the park, where hopefully they can soon shy away from the smile of visitors. A remarkable day for security in the park! The incident once again shows how important attentive citizens and police officers are outside of their service.
