Forsa survey shows falling popularity of the traffic light parties
In a current Forsa survey, which was carried out as part of the RTL/NTV "trend barometer", it was found that the traffic light parties are currently only 30 percent of the vote. This value marks a record low for the alliance of the SPD, Greens and FDP. The SPD Chancellor's Party would only receive 14 percent of the votes in a federal election, while the Greens would drop to 11 percent and the FDP to 5 percent. In comparison, the Union would achieve 30 percent of the vote, which is as much as all three traffic light partners.
The survey also shows that the AfD is in second place with 17 percent, followed by the Alliance Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) with 8 percent. The exact votes of the left were not listed separately in the survey. A total of 2,504 citizens were interviewed for the survey between 2nd and 8th July. It is important to note that surveys always have certain uncertainties, as party bindings are changing and election decisions become more short -term.
It is interesting to see that other surveys, such as those of Infratest dimap and Insa, represent the traffic light coalition a little more positive. In these surveys, the SPD, Greens and FDP come together to over 30 percent.
It remains to be seen how the popularity of the traffic light parties will develop in the coming weeks and whether the current survey values will be reflected in actual election results.
