Volksbank Hamm promotes Fablab with a donation for innovative water jet cutter
The Volksbank Hamm supported the Fablab Hamm-Westfalen e.V. with a generous donation of 25,000 euros. These remedies enable the Maker Space to buy a modern water jet cutter that can precisely cut steel and aluminum. Heinz Harling, honorary member of the association, emphasizes that the new device will particularly benefit the preparation of the school team "Hammer Engineers" for the upcoming "Olympiad of Engineering" in Paris. The team has already won a prize in this competition in the past, which makes their efforts even more important.
The Fablab, founded by Jens Kneißel in 2018, is the only maker Space in Hamm and offers access to a variety of technologies such as 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC milling. The facility promotes creative work and learning by regularly offering workshops and events. "It is a place where people come together to learn, experiment and create new things," emphasizes the Volksbank. Further information on the topic can be found here .
