Heat pump check in Hamm: Test the heating technology of the future!
In Hamm, an exciting project for using heat pumps starts to help house owners switch their heating systems to environmentally friendly alternatives. The Institute for Sector Coupling in the Energy Transition (IFSK) of the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences is now looking for volunteers for the "heat pump check". Interested parties can register to have the suitability of their single -family houses checked for the use of heat pumps over a period of three months. Participation is free of charge as long as there is an internet connection for data transmission and the buildings were built up to 2007.
The background of this project is the new "Heizing Act", which has been in force since the beginning of 2024. It requires that only heating systems are installed in new areas that use at least 65 percent renewable energies. Against this background, heat pumps are more in demand than ever, especially in existing buildings in which old heating systems will soon have to be replaced. "We would like to simulate the use of heat pumps in single -family houses and provide the home owners a well -founded data analysis," explains project coordinator Rüdiger Brechler. Further Details about this call are available on the website of the university.
