Last weekend it was called "Security Alarm" at Hanover Central Station! On September 6th and September 7th, 2024, the Federal Police Inspection started a large -scale focus on violence prevention, and the results speak for themselves: Dangerous weapons were ensured before worse!

Over 70 fearless forces of the federal police were in constant use for both days to ensure security in one of the largest traffic hubs in Lower Saxony. A total of 390 personal details were checked, and the controls quickly made it clear that the operation was necessary - because what was found was ringed in the alarm bells!

But that's not all: even a cutter knife, two whipped rings and a folding knife were under the objects found. These dangerous tools are a massive threat to the safety of travelers. Michael Schuol, President of the Federal Police Directorate Hanover, left no questions when he realized: "Weapons and knives have lost nothing in travel!"

The missions are no coincidence. The figures speak a clear language: bodily harm, especially with knives, increase in the region and are a great risk to the population. "We will decide against the high number of violent offenses at our large stations in Lower Saxony, Hamburg and Bremen," Schuol continued.
