Hanover discusses transformation: future of e-mobility and more!
Around 550 guests flocked to the Hanover Congress Centrum, where Hanover's business and environmental director Anja Ritschel kept a moving opening speech. The focus was on the panel discussion "Departure into the future - how does transformation succeed?", Which highlighted the challenges of modernization through climate change, shortage of skilled workers and digitization. Ritschel emphasized that Hanover's economy benefits from its diversity, which makes the location "Resilient, robust and sustainable".
Hanover Mayor Belit Onay emphasized the importance of e-mobility and the required charging infrastructure for the city. "The future of climate-neutral mobility is e-mobility. We are well equipped for the transformation," said Onay. Aurélie Alemany from Enercity underlined the urgency of the energy transition and the need for political support, while Karl Bernqvist from Volkswagen emphasized that political stability was crucial for switching to electromobility. Another highlight was the awarding of the Stadt-Hannover Prize "Women make location" to Sabine Güse-Henschel, which was recognized for over 30 years of successful corporate management. The event then offered the guests the opportunity to network at a buffet and to exchange the thoughts of the evening.
