Boys' choir Hannover enchants Ratzeburg Cathedral with masterpieces!

On Sunday, November 3, 2024, the Hannover boys' choir will appear in the Ratzeburg Cathedral. The concert begins at 4 p.m., and tickets are available from 3:30 p.m. in the Weber bookstore and at the box office. This appearance marks the end of this year's tour of the choir through northern Germany, which was founded in 1950 by Heinz Hennig and quickly developed a place among the important boys' choirs.

The concert program includes impressive works, including the eight -voice motet "Sing the Lord a new song" by Heinrich Schütz and Johann Sebastian Bach as well as pieces by Mendelssohn, Brahms and Duruflé. In addition, rarer compositions are presented by Rachmaninoff, Willy Richter and others, supported by cathedral organist Christian Skobowsky. For further information on upcoming events, including the requiem of W.A. Mozart on November 24th, see Herzogtum-direkt.de .
