Massive railway closures between NRW and Hanover: Take care of travelers!
Deutsche Bahn will face a powerful challenge in the coming weeks: the important railway line between NRW and Hanover will be extensively renovated from October to November. The work begins on October 11th at 9 p.m. and last until November 29 at 1 a.m. Numerous trains, both in long-distance and local transport, are affected. It is particularly serious that numerous ICE compounds are failed or diverted, which significantly extends travel times.
Series affected are, for example, the ICE line from Bonn to Berlin, in which all trains are eliminated, as well as diversions on the route between Hamm and Hanover, which can mean an additional travel time of up to 75 minutes. IC connections between Frankfurt/Cologne and Hanover are no longer available throughout. In the first construction phase from October 11th to 18th, there are also several re-western fales, with replacement buses being available. The railway informs that short -term changes are possible at any time, so that travelers should remain up to date. For more detailed information on the closures, rail customers refer to the Deutsche Bahn website and other official information channels, such as www.24rhein.de .Details | |
