living and business in the heart of Broistedt: A new chapter for the community

Not far from the former location of the Brandt’s living world and the Aldi market in Broistedt, a million-dollar construction project is being created that will significantly change the local community. The industrial area between Carl-Zeiss-Straße and Bahnhofstrasse becomes the center of an ambitious project by Getec Immobilien from Hanover. The decision to invest in Broistedt is based on the positive population development, the economic attraction for traders and excellent transport links.

Modern rental apartments are planned in combination with two commercial units that will revitalize urban life in Broistedt. The 6,800 square meter area will be shaped by three new buildings, including 64 barrier -free residential units of different sizes. Particularly noteworthy are the nine wheelchair -friendly apartments that cover the need for barrier -free living space in the community.

The construction projects are built according to an energetic KfW 40 standard, whereby PV systems and air heat pumps are installed on the roofs to ensure sustainability. The parking deck with 75 parking spaces on two levels, which points to the Aldi supermarket, as well as a total of 99 parking spaces and 45 outdoor bicycle parking spaces ensure the necessary infrastructure.

Mayor Maren Wegener underlines the importance of the project for local development and emphasizes that the demolition of Brandt’s living world was planned regardless of the ongoing insolvency proceedings. The municipality is aiming for completion of the construction project in the first half of 2026, which will represent a milestone for the future of Broistedt.
