Online service is booming: Over 10,000 vehicle registrations in Hanover!

The use of the I-KFZ service in 2024 with over 10,000 processes was already tenfold compared to 2023, where only 2,800 processes were handled online. Christine Karasch, Head of Public Security, emphasizes that this is a clear sign of how important and time-saving the online service is for the citizens.

With I-KFZ, vehicle owners can now easily register their cars from home, register or unsubscribe-without visiting a service center. The reduced administrative fees are particularly attractive: 12.80 euros for online use compared to 30 euros for personal approval. Cordula Drautz, Head of Finance, emphasizes that the digitization of the Hanover region is progressing and the number of users confirms the trend.
