Zoo Hannover: Discovery journey even in changeable weather!
Zoo Hannover: Discovery journey even in changeable weather!
In the summer months, families often look for entertaining activities for their children. The Hanover Zoo is a particularly popular goal. But the question that many parents concerns is whether the weather is suitable for a nice day with the animals. In the currently changeable weather, the planning of the zoo is not under any cheap star.
Weather as a decisive factor for excursions
The current weather is a challenge for many families. On days with rain, the zoo, like other leisure facilities, often remains empty than on sunny days. A visit to the zoo becomes much less tempting in rain, since the children usually enjoy the outdoor experiences more intensely when the sun is shining. The motivation is decreasing to plan in inconsistent weather.
Zoo Hannover reacts to visitors
The people in charge of the Hanover Zoo register annually that rainy days attract considerably fewer visitors. Their comparison with a rainforest illustrates the moodiness of the Hanoverian weather: once the sun shines, shortly afterwards a violent rain shower follows. However, the zoo developed strategies to meet these challenges.
Despite the rain, a lot to discover
Visitors do not have to be afraid of sudden downpour. The hippo scanyon in the underwater world offers a protective shelter, where polar bears, penguins and seals can also be observed. Another highlight is the amphibium, in which the children can admire animals such as the Titicaca giant frog and the Axolotl. Good planning is crucial for many, and the right weather outfit plays a big role.
Optimistic look into the future
Despite the challenges due to the changeable weather, the Hanover Zoo remains confident. The summer holidays in Lower Saxony and the surrounding federal states are not over yet, and the hope for more constant weather is still high. The zoo's employees press all available thumb, paws and fins.
The difficulties that bad weather brings with it are not only a problem for the zoo, but also reflect a general trend. Families have to find new ways to shape their free time and the zoo has prepared to meet these requirements. A creative use of the accommodations provided shows that adventures can already begin in the rain.
