Hovelland climate protection award: Who will win this time?

District of Havelland: Climate Protection Award - Together for a Sustainable Future!

The Hovelland district is calling for the fifth time to participate in the climate protection award. We are looking for innovative ideas and projects that make a positive contribution to environmental protection. Citizens, clubs, schools, daycare centers and groups in the Havelland are invited to apply with their initiatives and to take the chance of a prize money of 1,000 euros. The range of submitted projects is diverse and ranges from creative school projects to innovative environmental initiatives in the tourism sector.

One of the previous winners of the climate protection award was the Kantschule in Falkensee. Through the per student company, they managed to create a school garden and use it as a place of learning for environmental education. Pupils immerse themselves in the world of crop cultivation and discover the diverse wildlife in the garden.

Environment Director Michael Koch emphasizes the importance of commitment to climate protection: "We are looking for new, creative ideas that help protect our environment sustainably. Each individual initiative can make a difference and inspire others to follow the example."

Interested parties have the opportunity to submit their projects and thus qualify for the climate protection award until July 31, 2024. The application criteria are deliberately broad to honor a wide variety of contributions to environmental protection.

Anyone actively involved in climate protection and implement an innovative idea is cordially invited to participate in the Climate Protection Award of the Havelland district. Together we can help to secure a sustainable future for future generations.
