Citizens' initiative groundwater Heinsberg: Help with damp cellars!
The newly founded "Citizens' Initiative Grundwasser Heinsberg" chose its chairman: Hans-Joachim Kalok is at the forefront of the team, which is supported by Serap Mehder as secretary and Eileen L`habient-Heck as treasurer. Around 40 interested were present at the founding meeting in Schafhausen. The board was elected unanimously and also includes Thorsten Marx as deputy chairman as well as Franz Willi Theißen and Hans-Peter Bierbaum in further leadership roles.
A central concern of the initiative is to create a round table to discuss the groundwater problem in the affected area. This is done after reports on an increase in groundwater levels, which has been causing moist cellar in the households for 20 years. The association estimates that around 1,500 households are affected and plans to create a damage keyboard. In addition, a questionnaire is to be developed to document the problems of the residents. A citizens' application for the convening of a round table is also sought to discuss potential solutions together, such as "https://www.aachener-zeitung.de/lokales/region-heinsberg/heinsberg/feuchte-keller-buergerinitiative-belandes- Unterstuetzen/22648662.html?womort=heinsberg" target = "_ blank" rel = "nofollow noopener noreferer"> www.aachener-zeitung.de reported.
