Profanation of three churches: ceremony with Auxiliary Bishop Holtkotte on November 2

On Saturday, November 2, 2024, the Catholic parish of St. Dionysius in Herne will celebrate the profanation of three churches - St. Konrad, St. Barbara and St. Elisabeth. Auxiliary Bishop Josef Holtkotte from Paderborn will accompany this solemn occasion. The process begins at 1 p.m. with a prayer in the St. Konrad Church, followed by a pilgrimage train to St. Barbara, where another prayer takes place at 2:15 p.m. Finally, the last prayer is held in St. Elisabeth at 3:30 p.m.

For believers who want to take part in the events, a bus is offered that leaves at 12:30 p.m. at the Ludwig-Steil-Forum. Registration in the parish office is required.
