Dippenmarkt inspires Bad Hersfeld: A festival for bargain hunters!
The traditional Lulluskram market, known as the "dipping market", moved a huge crowd to the district town of Bad Hersfeld on Wednesday. Early in the morning bargain hunters from all over the region flocked to the market square, where the voices of the street sellers echoed through the air and spread a happy atmosphere. The market stalls offered a wealth of goods, from hearty specialties such as wild boar salami to sweet delicacies. A real feast for the senses!
Among the dealers was Kemal Sensoy from Baden-Württemberg, who advertised customers with cheese from Bavaria. "It is exciting to explore new cities, but travel will be exhausting," reports the experienced market dealer. Many visitors came from tradition to find their favorites - be it new bulbs, belts or pans. A highlight was Georg Eberhardt, who has been a veteran with its green cleaning cloths on the market for 23 years and advertises its stand with the slogan "As of today, cleaning like a window cleaning". The dealers, who are often more animators than sellers, ensured that the customers ended up home with full shopping bags - even if they only wanted to "look" at first.
